COOL DICKS!

We went from the grocery store where Cory Nitta, DJ du jour, ran around like a bear with a bee in it's ass, to Chez Posso where the cacophony of goods Cory bought at the store became a symphony of tasty delights, to the pool where we lounged while being seranaded by Mr.Nitta's latest mixes. COOL DICK....is pretty much all we have to say.

After leaving the pool and running home for a quick rinse we stopped by pub quiz at Malo run by Chris Holms and Har Mar. Unfortuantly for the "Cool Dicks"(us) it was senior citizen night as the questions being asked pre-dated all of our births (... possibly our parents) lending to our score of 3 out of a possible 30.

Note to our followers-"Cool Dick" has now been mentioned 4 times. It's because we think Cory's got one. Kisses and hugs.

Yes, we lick each others donuts. People have questioned for a long time and now here is the proof!!!!!!

Exceeding expectations by leaps and bounds of what neighbors should be we were more than happy to join our neighbor Kevin, his brother Kyle (both screen writers and musicians) and Kevin's super hot wife Dasha (actress...see her soon in Zombieland) for Kevin's 26th B-day. Dasha being like a crack pixie ( in the way that we can't get enough of this charming Russian beauty) and Kevin being cooler than a Mudslide at Dave and Busters we rolled up to a Pirate themed bar in K-town where we were served mini donuts and tons of hugs. CHEERS and YARRRRRR, KEV!

Recently we stumbled upon the finest pizza in our neighborhood, Two Boots, originating from NY and residing in our home twice a week since discovery. Brie also went to Rivera downtown where plate decoration and titanic sized ice cubes hold court. Our last stop dealt us alongside Erin and our newest robin-like bird Lindsey to see the rarely encountered, but highly stimulating Gogol Bordello at 3 of Clubs. Let us not delve into the unprecedented and mind-blowing menage of genre bending music played during his set he so honestly enlightened us with that evening, for it was far better than words may describe. Just another excuse to get together eat, drink and be crazy... Whitney the Great and her better half Chris invited our rag-a-muffin compadres over for libations! In keeping with recent history it was bonkers (in a Willy Wonka way of course)

Adventures in and Around the Town

These are the heat enduring day activities that so rarely get seen. There are some projects to be made verrry soon and we needed to gather the goods around the biggest craft mall there is, Los Angeles. We ventured to the little knittery in Atwater village so crocheting can begin, then to the Hollywood Fancy Feather Co. to obtain only the most beautiful natural and dyed ostrich feathers. Our travels also found us at kinkos where peculiar signage was displayed and finally to Yang Chow in Chinatown to enjoy the ever elusive and delicious slippery shrimp!

MOchella-hella-yes!

As the sun grows high and the days grow longer so does friendly love in hectometer strings of consonance and dissonance beauty. Thus, we find ourselves at Coachella. When the chaotic lives of our east coast compatriots combine with the west coast quiescent of life in California the madness begins. Glad to have a motley crew of relentless audiofiles in tow Brie and I headed out to Palm Springs for yet another epic year of love, joy, music and mayhem. Without further ado and with absolute appreciation for Rony, Glen, Anthem, Eskuche, Stylesightings, Posso and all of our various other homies we would like to present a few breif interludes into the magic that is COACHELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH EH....BESOS AND LOVE- Katie and Brie.
